The First Tangible Benefit From The Death
of that prick, Scalia.

http://money.cnn.com/2016/02/26/news/com...-chemical/

Quote:Justice Scalia's death prompts Dow Chemical to settle price-fixing case

Because there was nothing that fuckhead liked more than price-fixing corporate bastards!

Quote: Dow Chemical said Friday that it no longer thinks it could win its appeal because of Scalia's death on February 13.

Scalia was one of the most conservative justices on the nine-member court and a consistent vote on the side of business in class action cases. His death and a political dogfight over the nomination of a successor creates the prospect of 4 to 4 deadlocks in controversial cases.

Fuck 'em all.

That's good. unfortunately I hear Obama's planning to elect another republican to his position. Because he doesn't seem to know how to get anything past the republicans nowadays. They do their absolute best to block him from making an impact on the country.

He's weak. the dems have been too weak, letting the repubs pull them so far to the right that most "liberals" now are really centrists.

No wonder people like Bernie so much, despite the socialist label.

That republican governor under consideration has asked to be dropped from the list.

Wonder what the 'pubs would do if O nominated a senate Democrat from a state with a 'pub guv'nor with the authority to name a replacement senator ?

(didn't think of that one, did ya ?!?!?!?!)
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Obama is acting like a worthless dummy on this.  He should already have selected replacements for everyone on the court.  I would have announced a replacement as soon as I verified that the selected replacement was a go.  And if the Repubs bitched I would accuse them of trying to stage a coup and attempting to overthrow the government.
