What to wear in Australia
So jeans and a polo shirt are fine? What about the shoes? Do Aussies wear sneakers or boots or what? I mean when they are in the city not the outback.

Sydney is an amazing city (my home town).

I didn't know you were an Aussie, but I do now. Smile

I would take all of you if I could but the tickets have been purchased and plans have been made. I will take pics however.

Speaking of pictures, I will be wearing this iPhone out. In just over a week I'm going to Aruba. Then shortly after I get back, I'm going to Port Douglas and Sydney Australia. On the way back from Australia I'm stopping into Las Vegas for a few days.

Las vegas! 8 hour distance from me  Big Grin Enjoy! Make some money!

Kusa, I've been to most states, but not nth qld. Allow about 5 days for Sydney.
Darlng harbour is beautiful, spend a day walking George st, etc.

Wear normal clothes! (Like everyone else)
Don't wear a big fat camera around your neck, you'll probably get robbed.

Beccs, I heard that they got rid of, or are getting rid of the monorail?
I thought that was great? It's all we took. Didn't need a car for the 5 days we were there.
You've got Star Casino, etc. You'll have fun.

Sydney Monorail?

Closed in 2013.  Sad

And, yes, wear normal clothes: whatever makes you feel comfortable.

I found out that normal clothes in the US make you look like a hick in Paris. Especially white tennis shoes.
