We/Our souls were indeed those who were cast out? What if we are those followers of Satan/Demons.
What if...
Our time here on Earth away from the known glory of God is a final test designed to show us where our hearts lie. With God or in rebellion with Satan?
What if...
Those born in this life all begged for a second chance to show where our allegiance truly was, and this life was that chance???

What if...
People everywhere start to realize that the story of the casting out of Satan has no more relevance to human existence than the story of Wotan and the Frost Giants?
What if...
We aren't demons at all, but the current state of billions of years of biological evolution?
What if...
Our time here on Earth was to be taken up with making things a shade easier for those around us, with no thought for reward or gain, rather than being spent in futile prattling about non-existent demons and pointless redemption?
What if...
Those born into this world were to be taught that brutalizing and terrorizing other people with stories of hellfire and damnation isn't the sign of an all-loving God, but of deluded human beings who should seriously look into wet packs and anti-psychotic meds?
The world would be a better fucking place, that's what.
