Bernie Sanders beats Hillary Clinton in stunning Michigan primary upset
Hillary still manages to keep the lead she has in delegates (although she has now pretty much run out of deep south states that she can win with ease), but the shock here is that despite what the recent polls had predicted, with most having him trailing by around 20 or even 30 points, Bernie still actually managed to win Michigan. Which means the polls for the later states in this election may not be quite accurate.
Even 538 is shocked. Nate Silver (and co) is still trying to figure out what the fuck happened.

Bernie has been winning swing states and dem states, while Hilary has mostly just been taking conservative ones. I think the more liberal half of this primary is really going to change the game. It looks like somebody finally lit a fire under those kids who were just sharing memes and not voting, so I expect bigger turnouts from now on, much like what we saw in Michigan (where they actually ran out of ballots in some places).

Right now, the polls show Bernie soundly trouncing any GOP candidate in a general election, while Hilary would lose to everyone except Trump, whom she would only narrowly defeat (maybe). Sanders is by far the strongest contender in the general election; the only real obstacle between him and the White House is the Hilary Machine, and he's tidily taking that apart one primary at a time.

I am not sure anyone can beat Trump at this point, going on the actual numbers reported in the primary results.

He's probably going to get the nomination, but I very much doubt he would win in a general election. Still, Hillary would cut it too close and could even lose. Bernie is obviously the strategic choice. Honestly I don't know why the upper-crust dems are still so far up Hillary's ass since all numbers indicate that she could only beat Trump. If they actually want to win the election, they should already be pooling around Sanders. Every minute they waste on Hillary is another minute wasted getting a republican closer to the White House.

The establishment can't afford to let the anti establishment candidate win. Bernie's not going to represent the bigwigs of the dem side, so they try their hardest to censor him. The repub establishment wants Trump gone, but they can't stop the train. It goes to show you how much the people want change.
