They more or less pointed to the fact that they're not the only ones doing it and that it's business as usual in international waters. What's more, and since it bears repetition, these planes were unarmed, which the Americans don't deny. In fact, they were the ones pointing out that the planes didn't carry any weapons.

Yes, it is a show. I agree. But to call Obama "limp wristed" is bullshit. 

Skipping all labels for a second, this is the part of my male species I do hate. Everything is about bravado and chest pounding, from street gangs all the way up to nations, and it is all fucking bullshit to me. Nobody is going to dare me into a fight personally. It takes much more brains to use diplomacy than it is to use blunt force and I think the world, all sides would fair better. We still live in an age of nukes and if a world nuclear war were to happen, it would not matter who shot the first one, the entire planet would be so disrupted every nation to some degree would even have its population killing each other to survive. 

Obama doesn't buy or sell drama and unlike republican presidents he's not a shoot first Dirty Harry thinker. We don't live in an age of war anymore that a standard invasion will have sudden results. The world is way to small now and conquest for any side for a "final solution" simply will not work, there are no winners now. 

It is chest pounding and all sides do it yes. But that is far better than crossing the line and actually using a nuke now.

In truth what I was saying was the world see Obama as a punk, he is a joke of a world leader, he is an emperor who is wearing 'magical cloths' that only Europeans can see. and everyone else sees a push over because of our failures in dealing with the middle east, the bad iran deal, our impotence against north Korea, our folding against the Castro regim's will, makes the rest of the (anti freedom) world see an opportunity to turn up and push their will onto their neighbors because the US is with drawing on all fronts.

Purely from a western perspective. We know very much about them and what they are ultimately up to, don't we?

Regardless of everything you just said, you don't prop up a guy who is barrel bombing his civilian population. You take him out. If your looking for a perfect solution your being naive. It's a mess. That's clear. It's all bad choices. That doesn't mean you should sit back and allow it to happen.
