Thanks. It does suck, but I manage. I don't think I'll ever beat it, but I can certainly hope to manage it somewhat.

I don't know if it helps, but you're not the only one. I've got a severe case of clinical depression for the last 7 years. I'm, trying to pass as human, especially at work, but it gets harder with every passing year. The exhaustion and the wish to just lie down, is pretty strong.

Sure, it helps hearing other people speak up about it, and I appreciate you sharing. But it also sucks knowing someone else has to suffer the same way. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Getting on 10 years here, dragging my carcass through life after feeling like I died inside a long time ago.

We had a really good thread recently where we were all discussing depression here and supporting each other. I'd recommend taking a look Smile

It is all about moderation.

"He suddenly recalled the famous myth from Plato's Symposium: People were hermaphrodites until God split them in two, and now all the halves wander the world over seeking one another. Love is the longing for the half of ourselves we have lost.

Let us suppose that such it the case, that somewhere in the world each of us has a partner who one formed part of our body. Tomas's other part is the young woman he dreamed about. The trouble is, man does not find the other part of himself. Instead, he is sent Tereza in a bulrush basket. But what happens if he nevertheless later meets the one who was meant for him, the other part of himself? Whom is he to prefer? The woman from the bulrush basket or the woman from Plato's myth?"
From Milan Kundera's "The Unbearable Lightness of Being"

I prefer quality over quantity.  I have zero interest in being here, just to be here.

Of course, if eternal subjugation by ant overlords await us in the end...Won't I feel stupid?

Philosophy on life? Self improvement.
Wrecking my balls to improve my quality of life. That's my philosophy.
Hit the gym daily. Party like crazy. Still score straight A's doing a degree that is practically not studies but fun.

Live life to the fullest. Reach your potential by constantly pushing yourself. Be a man others aspire to me. I want others to look at me and go, "because of him, I didn't give up."

That's my philosophy.
