I'm just genuinely sad how socially acceptable it is to be a misandrist. But I think I'm coming in terms with it, perhaps I should just accept that that's just how people are and stop worrying about it so much.

There has been a case in Germany, I think as early as in '64. Two women, mother and stepdaughter, beat the abusive husband to death with a frying pan. The court aquitted them for two reasons. One was that it couldn't determine who actually administered the fatal blow, the second one was acknowledging the abuse over a long stretch of time.

So, that's what courts are for. To hear the whole story and come to a decision. Not knowing the whole story behind this incident, doesn't allow judgment. Least of all from us, who haven't been there or at the hearing and who aren't legal professionals.

One case doesn't mean anything. Bad decisions can be made. When they are, they should be challenged.

It doesn't mean everyone in the legal system, or the country, agrees with the decision.
