Would you live in VR?

Imagine you're given a one-time only offer. You can be plugged into a VR machine, where you will live out the rest of your natural life. There's no coming back.

Once plugged in, you'll live your version of a perfect life, being able to do whatever you want to do. And you won't have any idea it's "not real". It will be your new reality. There will be no suffering (unless you want there to be).

Would you do it? For simplicity, please ignore other factors such as abandoning loved ones. They can all come with you, or whatever. It's purely a question of total happiness versus "reality".

I would do it. I would be Q.

Brewer: No prob Smile

Well, that's up to you. Your real body will age and eventually die, but your existence in the VR can work however you want. You could have it simulating aging, or just pick a certain age.

You can have whatever you want basically, the machine can make you "feel" anything you could possibly imagine.

Paul: I agree that in most cases, the complications would be a huge overriding factor, and it would have to be a pretty hopeless situation personally or globally for there to be no moral decision to make.

I'm happy with what I got so I guess it's no. Ask again in 10 years, I may give a different answer.
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

Of course I would...living in my own Matrix would be awesome.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
