A dark bulb

A dark bulb
Well, we already have light bulbs. Why don't we have dark bulbs? When we put on the bulb it should spread darkness.
Is it possible, feasible, etc?

Darkness = absence of light. So instead of producing photons it should decay photons in a good enough rate so that darkness can be maintained.
What say you, you science wiz's?

Ordinarily I'd say no since one can't really decay photons by any means.

Hypothetically speaking Alexy, how would you go about making a dark bulb?

Is there no opposite light frequency which can somehow nullify the photon wave?

I'd make the bulb itself dark so that the light it emitted was not so intense?

I think I may be onto something.
You just need a little black hole in the room to attract the photons like a fly zapper!
