Part of me thinks the Dems were holding off on destroying Trump until after he gets the nom. Get the best opponent up there to beat and then crush him.

That was exactly my thinking during the primary. I cringed anytime a Democrat attacked him, willing them to wait until after he secured the nomination. Then, show no mercy. Tear him apart.

Very true but i find it funny how people complain about congress we have the power to remove them in all honesty they need to go.
But even then if they were to get voted out said votes would "disappear" like Bernie's voters "magically" voting for hillary.

You just literally said two things that cannot both be true at the same time.

Dyre, just because you say that, doesn't make it true.

If that were true, the GOP would have nuked the Tea Party long ago.

I'm thinking Trump's nomination will spur high Democrat turnout, which should also have an effect on Congressional races.

I hope so. But I need to see what it looks like after the convention. These #bernieorbust assholes will dwindle, hopefully.

California has 17,915,053 registered voters right now.  45% are Dems.  In 2012 only 6,493,924 Dems bothered to vote.  They might not get 6 million this year.  Just because people register to vote it doesn't mean that they will vote. Trump could win if all of the Repubs show up and if he gets all of the unaffiliated voters.  That's a longshot when 405 of the voters simply don't give a damn about voting.

Do you know what the incumbency re-election rate was in 2012?

Quote:2012 reelection rate: 90 percent
