Windows 10 mouse unresponsive

Windows 10 mouse unresponsive
While using steam sometimes when a program freezes, I'm unable to use to mouse to end the program. I've tried Control Alt Delete to bring the task manager, and the mouse still does not work. The only way I can fix the issue is by signing out of the local account, this is getting annoying and I'm running a higher end machine. Has anyone else run into this problem? If so, how did you fix other then signing out the local account?

Have you installed the latest big windws10 build update?
I don't have this problem, but my movie has always been a little jerky in the new Edge browser only.

First job, pull out your mouse and put in a different USB 3 port.

I'm current on all updates, this problem only happens in Steam. When ever another program freezes, I'm able to use the task manger to close it. The touch pad mouse does not even respond when a steam program freezes, I'm wondering if it's a problem with steam. I've tried the USB mouse trick as well, no matter what USB port I use it still does it.

Last thing, as a process of elimination, use a normal other mouse as a quick test...

I'm using a wireless mouse at the moment when I use Steam, I'll try my old wired mouse to see if it does it with that,

That sounds oddly kinky.

Can't see how wireless could make a difference though.
Next quick job is to do a quick Google for steam mouse problem.

Last step is to bypass steam like any self respecting hack!

Ok, so this really jarateed me off. I surfed the world wide web from something else than pr0nz and found this:
1. Start the game.
2. Do 'Alt+Escape' to minimize the game.
3. Do 'Ctrl+Alt+Delete' and open the Task Manager.
4. In the Task Manager, go to the processes tab and find 'iw5mp.exe'.
5. Right click 'iw5mp.exe' and go to 'priority'.
6. Select the program to run with NORMAL priority.
