It is not amusing when someone assumes I can't comprehend what they are saying just because I don't feel like breaking down every 700 word post of their convoluted nonsense. It is simple. Therefore, my responses are simple. You are over-analyzing a very, very simple concept. My refusal to waste my time arguing every irrelevant point you make does not make me an idiot. It's okay if you think so, though. I'm not emotionally invested in this silly conversation. Shit, I said silly again.

And yet, here you are, taking part in this conversation you've deemed silly. Interesting.

Does how the lungfish evolved have anything to do with whether or not evolution is real? No, it doesn't.

Congratulations, you got the point. Bravo. You've figured out why the questions are different. Took you long enough.

You may want to tuck in your personality. Your superiority complex is showing.

Anyway, I think Eil is the only person around here who can call Adrian sweetcakes. Furthermore, you are claiming you are logical, so I guess your BS isn't enough either. Sheesh.

Not really. What if I like silly conversations?

ROFLOL That was the point I have been making to you since your first ramble.

Ah, did pointing out that you finally came to the proper conclusion really hurt your feelings that much? Next time, don't be a bitch, and you'll find that I won't be a bitch back.

And now the backtracking begins. I love it when they prove me right by doing that.

And here come the negative reps from the hypocrites. I love it. Someone breaks out the insults instead of addressing an argument, then gets his panties all in a twist when he's insulted back. Then claims to be hurt that his arguments weren't addressed even though he never actually addressed the original arguments.

Maybe you should backtrack and read what I posted. Oh, and you just called me a bitch. I love it when people prove they are big whiny internet babies by doing that.

I don't know why I expect that atheists won't be as big of hypocrites as the Christians on religious boards. With so many examples like you one would think I'd have learned by now. If you don't want to be insulted, I suggest you try not starting the insults. Also, in the future, when you can to call someone a 'big whiny internet baby', it's probably best if you weren't the one doing the whining.

Pointing out a "mistake" and yet not even explaining or refuting my point. Well done.

Quote:Ah, the 'what if' fallacy. One of my personal favorite bits of BS.
It is not a fallacy, mainly because I was using it in a way to show you that your statement *could* be wrong. A "what if" fallacy takes the form "What if X, then you must do Y". Never did I insinuate that we shouldn't disbelieve evolution because "what if the universe was made last thursday".

The Last Thursday argument has been used by philosophers before. It isn't new. Unless you can disprove it via a logical argument, your whining about logical fallacies that I haven't even committed are just going to annoy me.

Quote:Sorry, but if you are willing to subscribe to that particular bit of BS, then you are not an atheist for you have no logical or rational reason not to believe in god.
I am an atheist, and I do have rational reasons not to believe in god. I make no secrets about the assumptions of my worldview though, which apparently you do. I openly admit that I cannot know anything for sure unless such "knowledge" is a deduction from the laws of logic. I am an agnostic atheist in this regard. I work under the assumption that the things I experience are real, unless evidence arises to the contrary. Why do I work under this assumption? Well, because I find it hard to live properly if I don't. As such, I have no experience of anything vaguely resembling what other people have called "God", and so I do not believe.

Quote:In fact, if your willing to subscribe to that particular bit of BS, then you have to concede that I am god. You have no way to philosophically prove that I am not.
...and you chide me on fallacies. Perhaps you were not aware, but it is a fallacy to suggest that because something cannot be proven, it must be true. No, I can't prove you aren't God. Does that mean you are? No.

Quote:Sorry, sweetcakes, but it is not enough to claim you are 'logical' and that is enough. You must also be rational. Unless you are willing to offer a counter-example that is also rational, then we aren't having a debate, for I don't debate with fundies.
...and not only do you refuse to respond to my points properly, you call me a fundie. Nice. Really nice.

Excuse me whilst I take the moral high ground on this one, and let you go on your merry way.

Confused Fall Individuals are hypocrites, not groups of people. I never said I didn't want to be insulted, either. I'm not sure I even said I cared. And, nuh-uh, you did it first. /sarcasm

Well, I'm pretty sure that this conversation has diminished in relevance completely, so I am going to bow out. You can feel free to think that makes me an idiot and you the grandmaster of forum awesomesauce. I don't give a shit.

@Adrian- BTW I also have a plauability quotent of .9 due to the outside the confines of time and a "What God is that" on the do-it yourself diety
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post

Thanks Adrian,a great game.

No. I did not sail through it,but was confronted on some rational contradictions. As a result, I am reconsidering my position on a couple of issues.

Of course,I may decide I'm more comfy keeping my internal contradictions, like a large chunk of th rest of humanity, but I hope not. Thinking
