Largely because he's a black democrat. He's a corporatist, and we've been at war during his entire run as a president. They don't like that he made peace deals with Iran and Cuba. They don't like that he implemented the affordable healthcare act, despite that it's a largely republican plan. They don't want the first black presidency to be successful, so they've been fighting him nonstop. And some people fear they'd do the same thing to "socialist" Bernie Sanders. Although I think Bernie has more of a spine than Obama, and would make sure more got done, because he'd be more likely to whip democrats into shape and drag republicans through the mud for their obstructionism.
I'm afraid he'd wind up getting assassinated, though.

Nothing new, they always have talked like that.

Why do the Republicans hate Obama so much? For the same reason they hated Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter; they were Democrats. Why did the Democrats hate Ronald Regan and the Bushs? Because they were Republicans. That's our wonderful two party system at work.

Because he's a secret Muslim who was born in Kenya. There are Republicans who actually believe this - the orange shouty guy who is currently running was a big voice in the "birther" movement a few years ago.
When a Democrat is in the White House, Republicans are going to shit their pants no matter who it is. They tried to impeach President Bill Clinton, they believe Hillary Clinton is a lying murderess with cankles (as a local columnist in my town called it), President Obama is a secret Muslim born in Kenya and so on.
Let's face it, the Republican fringe element are fruitcakes who thrive on crazy.

The saddest fact of all is that the two party division is not a division at all. In fact, both parties are supported and controlled by the same corporations.
