Why do Christians believe in the Resurrection of Jesus but not alien abductions?

Some do. They just say it's demons doing it.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Selective gullibility.

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

This is a really interesting hypothesis!

If intelligent, sentient life evolved here, why not elsewhere?  And, if aliens wanted to "abduct" a human, maybe Jesus was willing to go?  Maybe he was quite not dead on the cross, only in a comma (notwithstanding the embellishments in the Gospel of John), and later that evening, aliens brought him back to life, took him to their spaceship, and then restored him to good health, later on returning him to earth?

Why not accept alien abductions as being a real phenomenon, at least by the "standards" of Christian belief?

You know that a lot of alien abduction stories come from the Bible Belt, right?

He was in a comma, then he started moaning on as usual so the aliens punched him in the colon until he came to a full stop.

Strange green men taking you, and shoving probes deep into your ass at random intervals over the course of a lifetime VS. eternal life free from pain and suffering, including that of being anally violated?
Not a believer, but I could certainly declare a winner, if I were so inclined.

I only speak for myself, of course.
