Personally, I couldn't follow a commandment like that. If I find an order immoral I will not comply.  And if I may add a commandment to the conversation myself, I would have it read,  Any politician who declares war should be compelled to fight in said war.  We would live in a different world if that were the case.

You wouldn't harm other people if you were ordered to? Can you possibly have lurked on these forums and be unaware of how your deity, Jehovah, ordered genocide after genocide with the occasional mass murdering wherein the virgins of a village would be spared so they could be taken as war booty?

Nope, I sure wouldn't. It appears as if you would I assume? When I replied, I was hoping we were going to discuss the actual issue but, we can go to the ancient events you don't believe ever happened.  I was aware of the old testament before I made it to the atheist fourm. Although I have indeed noticed it is among the favorite subjects of biblical discussion here. All new testament Christians I have ever been around have no dealings with the OT.  Christians deal with the teachings of Christ, and the new covenant. The OT was written for the Jews who at the time, were being established as Gods people and who were expecting a messiah. Even the 10 commandments at the time, weren't meant for the whole world to follow, just the Jews, who still follow only OT scripture.  And don't catch a fraction of the heat Christians catch on here I might add. And before you bring up that part where Jesus said he came to fufill the law, all that means is it was satisfied. Like if you fufill your contract with somebody, your no longer under the contract.

Even if it came from God?

Even if it came from God. How bout you? Not from God obviously, but from an "authority" figure.

You know better than God ??

Wow.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

So you have no dealings with the barbarism of the OT. Yet you accept the NT which is based entirely on human sacrifice. Dodgy

BTW...

Ephesians 6:5
Colossians 3:22
1 Peter 2:18

Yes I know, there were slaves in the roman empire at the time. Paul didn't legislate it into being though. And he wrote a letter to a particular slave owner urging him to free the slave he had. Had he ordered Christians to capture people and enslave them, then you may have something there.

And why was he urging for the slave to go free? Because he was buddies with the guy. But when Paul REALLY wants a church or person to stop something he finds immoral he comes at them full force in a letter. Not the style he used toward Philemon. The fact that you reference that is dishonest. I now know that you're a dishonest apologist, as dishonest as Christians citing Josephus as a secular source for Jesus, but of course "dishonest apologist" is as redundant as "wet water".

And even if your sliminess is successful here, you only show that Christians are allowed to commit attrocities as long as they're legal... yet there's a 99% chance you're against abortion, making you either a willful hypocrite or just another Christard.

Sliminess and dishonesty huh? Just because I made a point? And news flash.... anybody, not just Christians are allowed to do anything if its legal.
Legal does not equal moral as we were talking about which is why Paul wrote the letter. Sorry if it wasn't as forceful as you would like for it to have been. I didn't write it. Calling me a christard doesn't help you in any way. It makes you look like an unoriginal bigoted dumbass. You can put tard on the end of any group you don't agree with and presto, you have your broad demonization of said group. I guess it makes you feel like you've done something creative but the only thing you've done is shown your unwillingness to think.
