Don't think it's any consolation, but virtually any conservative politician tries to win over right wingers by putting on their radical pants. They simply don't realise that people being inclined to vote radical won't suddenly change their preferences, only because someone puts on a show. I think, going to the organ grinder and not the monkey is the english term for what we use to call smith and smitty.

I voted leave but after going back and fourth on it (the arguments from both sides), I feel I may have made the wrong choice - just to be clear I don't follow Boris Johnson, Nigel Farage nor David Cameron and George Osborne. Perhaps it was best I just did not vote since I distrust politics altogether.
