Last time I ended up mailing the Divine Tiberius a check.  How quaint is that?  Snail mail and paper checks!

Goddamn you are old! How can someone know so much about posting gifs, make 50,000 forum posts and not know how to use paypal? Snail mail and a check?

It's very complicated.  Basically the dog rescue I'm with has a Paypal setup and part of my duties includes checking to see if the payments have posted.  So, when I tried to use Paypal I could not set up my own account because Paypal kept reverting to the rescue.

It just seemed easier to revert to the old tried and true method.

FYI I don't give out my mailing address to everyone, just long time members who I trust! Everyone else can use the various other donation methods!

RE: Patreon Donations
A PO Box would cost more than it's worth to maintain. The yearly fees are, in part, based on the size of the box and what fee group you're placed in.

You can also get anything sent to the post office via general delivery without getting a po box. EG Tiberius, General Delivery, So and so town, State, zip code

Interesting. I didn't know that was even possible.

Quote:This is direct from the USPS website, https://www.usps.com/manage/forward-mail.htm, on 2012.09.26:

Get your mail even if you’re on the road, new to town, or between permanent addresses. Mail addressed to you at General Delivery will be held at the area’s main Post Office™ for up to 30 days. All you have to do is pick it up.

I don't think general delivery would be a practical solution in this case.

An interesting use case: Long-distance backpackers can mail supplies, fresh boots, etc. to themselves c/o General Delivery.

Small briefcase or satchel filled with small unmarked bills (if counterfeit, please, $5 dollar bills only, they never check them and they are just big enough to be useful) and leave under the poplar tree next to the grill past the ball diamond at the city park.

Thank you.
