Ah no, it's well poisoning. What's your point?

You do realise we're not in charge of it, right? It's not an atheist conspiracy.

You're not in charge of it, but the reaction indicates that you're not neutral and objective regarding it, either.

So whats your answer?  put wards in the churches and close down hospitals and surgeries?

What? My reaction is to your dishonest presentation and refusal to state your point.

Do you have a point?

Personally I do my own research of mainstream and alternative approaches and choose for myself.

Even within the mainstream, you need to consider that your doctor might not be up to date with the latest info. For instance, I once diagnosed myself as having a mild inguinal hernia. I went to the doctor, he agreed, and gave me a phone number for a surgeon. I did some research, and found that there was a recent study in a major journal showing that "watchful waiting" was as good or better than surgery for mild to moderate hernias. That was years ago, and now I'm fine, and I avoided the potential complications of surgery.

Sometimes doctors get things wrong or are not properly informed. Being informed yourself is good, yes.

Anything else?

Are those "alternative approaches" not medicine then?

Are you going to balance this with any stats on how much damage is done by people self diagnosing and refusing standard medical assistance?
