I do three responses
1. Don't respond to the message they usually get the hint
2. Politely say no thank you. There's no need to offer reasons. Just say you're not what I'm looking for.
3. Discreetly block that specific person.
There's no need to be outright rude. And I hope you know when adding "no etc.." You're also driving off some of there people you're attracted to.
That's not necessarily true because you can't read people's minds to know how strong their racial, height, weight preferences are.
I have a very strong preference when it comes to no dating males or transsexuals, I don't care how nice they look or feminine I just don't like the idea of it.
I have weak racial preference that could easily be broken, a pretty strong height preference that I could deviate from possibly.
But everyone is different.

Keep it vague. I'm not 'interested' rather than attracted.
Definitely a weird path our society took with beauty. Instead of downplaying the importance of being superficially attractive, they went with everybody must be considered superficially attractive. Which is absolutely not how superficial attraction works, as far as I know.
