Yes, very much so!  It would be great to see someone such as yourself do an actual calculation with Carroll's equation much like Einstein did a calculation with the precession of Mercury using General Relativity.

I have a similar problem. I follow the cooking instructions exactly. I'm then really bad at knowing whether the thing is done by then, or needs more time. I generally just flip out.
