Brad Pitt is also a fairy tale...it doesn't matter, with regards to what people "worship"....does it?

They consolidated. Too many gods to keep up with and sacrifice to (all the good virgins were getting killed) so why not wrap them into one and oh I dunno stop killing the pretty girls. Hey new religion invented all pocket sized and fun. No more need to invent more.

and this either wacky idea of Jesus's, or he's been misconstrued this way, that one can be continuously saved regardless of what some of us might deem to be highly offensive conduct.
I might think if some miscreant were truly perfused with jesusism that it might preclude some of the more odious activities the 'saved' have persisted in doing, but it sure looks like I (and my conservative Methodist upbringing sunday school teachers) are dead wrong about how total fealty and piety to jesus can manifest itself.
Anyhow, the applicability to the topic is, of what use are any other gods when this take on jesusism is essentially 'perfect' for saints and (unrepentant) sinners of all stripes?
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
