If our emotional state is largely reactionary to biochemical triggers, would it be advantageous to remove oneself for possible triggers and gain mastery over one's mental state?

Fair enough -- speech is an action. It's perhaps a tad more abstract than I had read you, which is why I felt the urge to go into detail. Words not only convey intent, they also can describe intent even when the end result goes awry.

Kinda like hitting your thumb with the hammer, and describing what you were doing nailing in the first place -- to a blind person. Anyway.
