Do sperm have souls?
#21
RE: Do sperm have souls?
Assuming that having a soul means being sentient, no sperm don't. Only cephalized organisms could possibly be sentient. Which means sperm, eggs, and embryos prior to the formation of neurons in the second month of pregnancy are definitely not sentient. They may not become sentient until much later in fetal development, but definitely while they don't have brains they're not sentient.

Anyone who believes that embryos are ensouled at conception would have to believe that the soul just kind of hangs around in limbo for weeks or months waiting on the brain to develop so it can interact with the body.

They might. It would produce a lot of souls during an orgasm, which might explain why it feels like heaven.

RE: Do sperm have souls?
Having a soul doesn't mean anything. Like all wooey nonsense it's not properly defined and not testable. It's a metaphor.

Is there more to us than what we perceive as the physical? Maybe, maybe not. If so, no one knows what it is despite their ridiculous claims.
