The lesser of two evils, to me, is not voting at all.

That is always the case in politics, it seems. Even Obama, for whom I campaigned and voted enthusiastically, turned out to be in the pocket of lobbyists and just towing along the status quo. Hillary isn't far different from him, except he is more charming and funny. Bernie is a gem, and I'm still super bummed he doesn't have a chance this year, but politicians like him are rare. However, characterizing it as the lesser of 2 evils is so misleading when one of the evils go far, far beyond the standard level of a "bad" politician, crossing into wanna be dictator. No experience, poor leadership skills, poor decision making skills, and no ability to accept advice from anyone while attacking any perceived slight, however small, is beyond the normal level of bad we get to vote on.

Is there really any difference between incompetent and stupid? No matter how competent hillary may be (and I don;t doubt that she is, btw, quite the opposite), we can only be discussing competence at continuing to fuck things up, and incompetence that would fuck things up in entirely the same way.

I want my daughter to have access to birth control, and yes, abortion if need be. I want her to be equally able to marry a woman when she grows up, if that is her wish. I don't want her to think she must be silent if a powerful man gropes her. I want her to have better access to jobs, Healthcare, clean water, and clean air. I want her to see that intellect and science are respected, not mistrust ed and twisted into climate denying conspiracies. I want her to know that men are not inherently smarter or mentally stronger than she is, that men are equally emotional creatures, and that having a period and a vaginal does not make her weak, irrational, or dangerous in a position of power.
Trump will give her none of those things, not 1. Clintons war mongering worries me, but to pretend war is less likely with mr. touchy Trump is willfully ignorance. At least with Clinton, some of these will happen, and the rest are in the realm of possibility. So yeah, for my kid, and the future, there is simply no comparing the 2 candidates.
