Well, the king ordered the pyramid built, and arranged (presumably) all manner of the aspects of his entombment, but once he croaked, how do we know the staff didn't feed his corpse to the Nile crocodiles and split up all the boodle amongst themselves ?

Damn, I just get more cynical the more I'm here, don't I?

The short answer is, we don't.  But, if the pyramids were tombs ( as the Egyptologists swear they were... and which I doubt ) then they were deeply embedded in the religious mainstream and in Egyptian religion the prime beneficiary was the pharoah.  He was the one who got lifted to the heavens to join Osiris among the stars.  We also have to assume that they believed all their own bullshit and the fucking priests were there to oversee every step of the process.

Besides, any kingdom which could afford to build the Great Pyramid was not short of cash to begin with.  The pharaoh would have had all the pussy he could grab - yes, even then -

I've often said that if Hillary really wanted to stick it to Trump, all she'd have to do is run that "The View" clip over and over in her campaign ads.  I think enough people would be creeped out (except for the brain-dead knuckle draggers in the areas where people are sorta OK with that kind of thing) that she'd easily win, as if she's not easily winning already.
