There are many things I believe in that haven't been proved and aliens are one, evolution in accordance with the evidence of the fossil record is another.

Usually when people ask that question on an atheist or theist site it is attempting to create a reference between an atheist believing and a theist believing but they are totally incompatible.

When a theist claims: "I beleive in god" it means they know god is 100% fact.

When an atheist says "I believe in aliens" it means I believe aliens exist but I will await further proof before claiming it fact.
