Oh I'm more than happy to.  I just asked about rating to see if anyone is around my level.

Cool. Would you be down for a correspondence game? I tried doing a real time game with Rhythm last night, but we both had to settle on a correspondence game (both of us were having technical problems sending each other live chess challenges).  What is your chess.com username, sir?

I don't like correspondence much. I don't feel like playing against someone, his chess books, and his newest software, and I don't have the patience to play a game I can't finish in one sitting. Smile

And, as always, PM me on AF anytime.

I'd love to cross brains with you over the chess board.  Please let me know if you make an account; if you decide to, then please  let me know your username and I'll shoot you a challenge, sir.

YAY!

Sorry I just saw this.

I'll make the account now.

Nor do I sir. I could only give you my word that I'd only be using my mind; thus, I totally understand your position. I would be down for a blitz game of some sort, say 15/10 time controls? If you are interested in trying a live game, then please let me know your chess.com username and I'll shoot you a friend request and live chess challenge.  Thanks

Hey Kernel. I'm currently drunk so it has slowed my creating a Chess.com account. I'm sorry I'm taking so long, sir.

No worries, sir.  Take your time.

For anyone who's interested here's a link to game one of the world chess championship between Magnus Carlsen and Sergey Karjakin

That is strictly forbidden on chess.com, and they run checks on various people's games to see if a chess engine is likely being used.  If you're rating is over 2000, they will check regularly, and if under maybe if a complaint is filed by someone.

Frankly I don't see the fun in cheating by using a computer to pick your next move, because if I wanted to set up a couple of computers to play each other I could do that fairly easily.  I would get no satisfaction in watching my computer beat someone, but plenty of satisfaction if I do it myself using my own brain power.

That being said, if someone is quick enough they can cheat during a live game, too.
