you can keep heaven

My favorite theory is the two husbands/wives. Your first spouse passes and you miss them but you move on and find another. You love this one just as much as the first but now you love both. It's okay cause you can't have the first back. But wait there's more... now y'all are all in heaven. Is this a love triangle now? Mormon two wives thing going down in heaven? I'm assuming 'heaven' doesn't have jealousy so all parties are cool with that. Or is there not the idea of being with your loved ones like that?

Luke 20

27 Then came to him certain of the Sadducees, which deny that there is any resurrection; and they asked him,
28 Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man's brother die, having a wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
29 There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died without children.
30 And the second took her to wife, and he died childless.
31 And the third took her; and in like manner the seven also: and they left no children, and died.
32 Last of all the woman died also.
33 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them is she? for seven had her to wife.
34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:
35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

Sex wouldn't even be on your mind...

Matthew 19
14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

Was your childhood no fun because you weren't having sex?

+1 on that!
IF heaven and hell did exist, I would choose hell. Why? Well, what is hell? According to the religious morons (excluding the cute user 7671 from that epithet Smile ) hell is the place where everything evil goes. And if you ask them evil is: science, atheism, gay, rock/metal music, sex, hoes, alcohol, marijuana, masturbation and pretty much every possible pleasure you can think of. That means hell is not at all the place they describe. It's the place of freethinkers and scientists where they can exist undisturbed by braindead morons. So, yeah, I would choose hell for sure! Wink

Or you would still have free will and be able to sin and be sent to hell. How long would it take to drain heaven of souls under those circumstances? Or how many heavenly souls would need to be sent to hell before the rest of them spent an eternity in heaven terrified of doing so much as blinking?
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

No actually I see how ridiculous YOU sound. Children's brains are not fully developed, when you get a brain injury you go BACK to being child like. It is a bad thing. No grown adult that knows what it means to be able to have adult conversations (not inappropriate just adult that kids don't understand) be able to think like an adult or act like one wants to go back permanently to thinking like a child. Neverland isn't what it's cracked up to be. Haven't you seen Interview With A Vampire? They make Claudia a vampire at 8 years old. For 30 years she was a child and she ended up killing Lestat because he did that to her. We are not meant to be children forever and only children don't want sex. Did you not see the part where I was mocking you before you even said anything? I called what you said before you said it. Why would I want to live forever first of all and second why would I do that and not get to enjoy anything anymore? I DON'T WANT to go to heaven. That's what we are all saying here yet you seem to think we are delusional just cause we don't agree with you. Do you see how ridiculous that is?

Any version of me that needs parts of my character adjusted in order to make eternal reward or punishment bearable wouldn't be me anymore. So who exactly is getting rewarded or punished, if not me? What would be the point?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

The Bible's so-called heaven isn't heaven. Heaven is supposed to be heavenly.

(November 24, 2016 at 2:08 am)robvalue Wrote: Imagine an evil God, laughing at all these people dancing around following all his stupid rules. Then he sends them all to hell anyway.

And that's the thing. That's exactly what the Christian god is/doing.

There can only be a tiny handful of faiths that actually have it right, which means they must be so similar as to be indistinguishable. And that can only happen by sheer dumb luck; born in the right place at the right time. And speaking of that, are there any Christian sects that exist now that are exactly like they were at their inception? It's important because 1) they've all changed so much over time, that whomever was going to be saved was saved when the particular sect was hitting on all cylinders; or 2) only recently did they get it right, which means that all those who practiced faithfully have been shit out of luck for millennia.

Then there's #3, which sews up this fiery bullshit appropriately enough: if you've never heard of Christianity, or if you die as a child, it's largely agreed that you get a free pass to eternity. And that brings us back around to this: God is incredibly cruel for ever revealing Himself to anyone, because if he hadn't no one would ever have gone to Hell.

So it's only logical that if one believes in the Christian god, then their most noble course of action would be to ensure their children never heard of God, or, kill them when they're really young, thereby guaranteeing them a place in Heaven. If that sounds violent and perverse, well, that's what actually thinking about Christian doctrine leads to.
