RE: President Crook
and how will that happen ?
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

RE: President Crook
Impeachment won't happen. The RNC knows that such a step would only highlight the deep fissures in the Republican Party, and perhaps hasten its fragmentation.

RE: President Crook
Impeachment would only occur if the congress critters were convinced they would not be re-elected if they failed to impeach.

Trump has a gold plated get out of jail impeachment free card.

He won't do it.  He's just going to pass it off to his kids, as if that fixes it all.
He sees the presidency as an extension of the Trump brand.
I'm not sure if he'll be impeached or just get away with it, either.

He'll get away with it. Cheney never fully disposed of his Haliburton shares after all.

any one think congress will impeach over that ?

As long as he doesn't get oral in the oval from someone other than his wife, he should be good.

(Eh, who am I kidding?  They'd let him get away with that, too.)

I'll give him a pass on oral in the Oval Office, provided it's one of the following people on their knees, worshiping the orange gherkin:

1)  Rudy Giuliani
2)  Ted Cruz
3)  Newt Gingrich
4)  Vladimir Putin
5)  Mike Pence
6)  Sean Hannity
7)  Steve Bannon
8)  Any of the Evangelical 'leaders' who endorsed him (you know they're itching for a dick, anyway)
9)  Roger Ailes
10) His daughter (who says you can't always get what you want?)

As for his business dealings, nothing will come of it unless the Democrats can get their shit together in the mid-terms.

Unfortunately, Cheney has dibs on that.

Trump announces he will leave business ‘in total’ — leaving open how he will avoid conflicts of interest

Quote:President-elect Donald J. Trump tweeted Wednesday morning that he would soon leave his “great business in total” to focus on the presidency, a response to growing worries over the businessman-in-chief’s conflicts of interest around the globe.

Shortly after, the official Twitter account of the Office of Government Ethics, the traditionally staid federal agency that often works closely with presidential transition teams, issued a rapid-fire series of tweets celebrating that Trump had committed to fully divesting his company stake — though Trump has publicly said no such thing.

Quote:But it remained unclear whether the new arrangement would include a full sale of Trump’s stake in the company. Ethics advisers said a management hand-off to his children would not resolve worries that the business could still influence his decisions in the Oval Office.

“I will be holding a major news conference in New York City with my children on December 15 to discuss the fact that I will be leaving my great business in total in order to fully focus on running the country in order to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump tweeted.

“While I am not mandated to do this under the law, I feel it is visually important, as President, to in no way have a conflict of interest with my various businesses. Hence, legal documents are being crafted which take me completely out of business operations. The Presidency is a far more important task!”

I'm glad he knows how to prioritize...
