My operation
RE: My operation
I don't know the origin of the word, but I sometimes further confuse people by saying squids.

It's quicker to say quid than pound. About 0.1 seconds quicker, tests have shown. But then you have to spend about 2.5 seconds explaining what a quid is, so it doesn't quite work out.

RE: My operation
The lump on my side is less tender, and if anything has reduced in size. My wounds are healing up very nicely. Opal has now jumped on me a couple of times, and I've not suffered from it any more than usual.

Things are looking good! I've been physically quite active, and I'll be returning to my volunteering at the cat sanctuary on Saturday.

Still no news on the diet. I'm hopefully seeing my specialist in January, to iron this all out. For now, we're staying cautious. We see no point taking risks, when we should have proper answers soon.

Thanks so much for everyone who has supported me, followed this thread and offered kind words. I love you guys Heart

My recovery is still going well. The wounds are healing up, and it looks like they may well disappear without scarring. Keyhole surgery is amazing!

My return to volunteering at the cat sanctuary has been delayed by an annoying cold that's been doing the rounds, but I should be starting again tomorrow.

(It also made me snore so loud that I moved to the couch so Emma could get some sleep!)

Give her the cold, she'll snore also, problem solved.

Change in diet yet?

Brewer: No diet change yet, I'm hoping to get an appointment soon with my specialist. If I don't hear anything by mid January I was told to follow up. I'll keep you all informed!

RE: My operation
I've just had my ultrasound to check out the lumps resulting from my surgery. The preliminary results are that it's nothing to worry about, probably just scar tissue. They will soften in time. But it's being passed on to a doctor to make sure, and I'll get their analysis in 7-10 days.

I have an appointment to see my specialist on 22 Feb now. I'm still holding fire on the diet until he and the surgeon (who is a chick, and no it's not Beccs Tongue ) can agree on whether or not I still have any kind of narrowing.

Will you be having chunky or smooth peanut butter? When you're given the all clear I mean. Or have you already had some peanut butter?
