What's your thoughts on Trump?
RE: What's your thoughts on Trump?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/eur...story.html

Just happened. This very night. We (not you) are fucked. I knew it, I should have left this country long ago.

This government started from this year, caused by the fact that a lot of idiots voted the Social Democrats and they (along with their allies) got more than 50% of the seats in the Parliament, i.e. they hold complete legislative and executive power. And because 60% did not go to vote because "nothing changes anyway."

An emergency ordinance issued despite heavy protests.

Well, at least they didn't bring the army as in '89... yet.

Peaceful protests held according to the Constitution guarantees and the laws have been reported by the Social Democrats and certain media as "coup" these weeks, and thus, the people who have taken to the streets are not honest citizens, but something like enemies of the nation.

No, it isn't. Journalism is a profession. Social Media is wayward idiots catering to even bigger idiots without any rules or legislation.

I said media, not journalism.

You know, give the power of the electoral vote to the people: They'll either not use it or misuse it.

It's unfortunate a man like this can become the leader of the free world, it really really is. The man has no regard for the constitution and was never running to be president; he was running to be dictator. And don't get me started on his idiotic followers! These people are so stupid and blind it's amazing. For 8 years they complained that Obama was a dictator and was going to censor his political opponents when he NEVER did that not once. Also, his supporters are more about the fact they won than policy. They keep telling me he's going to be president for all Americans, but whenever I question him they just respond with "SHUT UP LIBTARD! YOU LOST GET OVER IT!" And these people can vote? That's what's really sad.

I have even had Trump supporters tell me they can't wait for Trump to be president because then people like me should be shot under a Trump presidency. They seriously want a dictator. Their hatred is going to lead to the destruction of the GOP.

Nobody wants a dictator. Not everyone that voted for Trump agreed with everything he said and promised. Many people that voted for Trump did so despite his obvious faults not because they adhered to them. To you they are just idiotic followers in addition to being blind.

It was Obama that told his recently defeated political foes that 'elections have consequences'. How different is this from "shut up libtard! you lost get over it!"? The only difference is that the President, at the time, chose not to use an invective description of his audience; otherwise, the message is exactly the same. Elections have consequences. Seemed fun at the time, but now that the shoe's on the other foot, the only reaction is to call the opposition idiotic, stupid and blind. Not a sound strategy for flipping votes.

The Trump is making enemies left and right, which may still work in our favor.

They are idiotic and blind -- that describes the right-wing in general. I was on a Christian forum before this one, and I can tell you from experience, most of them are buffoons. These people believe everything they hear from echo chambers of misinformation like Brietbart, FOX, and InfoWars, and buy all the conspiracy theories, junk science, and outright lies that come with them. Plenty of them want a dictator for this country, which is why every Republican president since Nixon has acted like one. It's funny that they always talk about 'tyranny' and whatnot, yet that's exactly the kind of government they vote for time and again.

As for flipping votes, I'm not too worried about hurting their feelings, or looking rude to the undecided. They dish it out as much as they take, and they win elections with divisive rhetoric all the time. I don't feel very bad about that, nor do I feel bad about giving them a little bit of the shit they gave us these past eight years. We listened to them bitch and protest, and now they have to listen to us bitch and protest -- only with much more support.

Well considering that the Republitraitor party had to remove the vote from c 10m US citizens in order to get Trump to a 3.5m losing vote, I'd say that in this case it's the fact that the people not having the vote is at fault.

In the past month I woke up in a country where I found that if I, and people like me, were to be killed by the government, those who trust in the government would call it a good thing.

So it's not only my country?

To Romania, that's almost like a return to 30 years before. We've been through worse. But I hoped, I always hoped, that society, people, countries, they all naturally evolve for the better, that there is no return to the past.

But now I fear. Look at Russia, they could've become a democracy, but they returned to USSR style of government. EU is close to dismembering as the right-wing parties aim towards 20th century nationalism, while USA could just as well become like USSR.
