What's your thoughts on Trump?

The right has become so detached from reality that most of it's members can't be reasoned with. They consume vast amounts of information that is designed to mislead them, and appeal to their worst instincts. All of it's leaders are conspiracy nuts that tell their listeners not to trust any sources of traditional inquiry. People that treat Brietbart, FOX, Daily Caller, WSJ, etc, as serious sources, are just too stupid to have a conversation with - you'll drive yourself mad trying.

We are not at a point where we can ignore them now, that is the problem. Trump is far too dangerous to let it go.

I agree, I'm just saying don't bother trying to reason with the wingnuts. People that are sold on that snake-oil are going to buy it no matter what facts you have at your disposal.

I've spent the last ten years arguing on a conservative forum, and I've seen how unhinged they've become. Most of them are just so detached from what is reality and horrifically uninformed about. . .   everything, they can be convinced of anything by one of the far-rights figureheads. Alex Jones, Glenn Beck, Michael Savage, Mark Levine, Rush Limbaugh, and Sean Hannity have sold millions books, get millions of viewers, and provide conservatives with places where facts don't matter - just loud opinions. It's the head of this monster call the GOP, and until we understand that their propaganda machine can and does work, the virus called neoconservativism will spread even further.

He still wouldn't have won a free and fair election. Hell, if the Republitraitors weren't so insistent on reintroducing Jim Crow he wouldn't have won under the fucked up US gerrymandered system.
Soulless minion of orthodoxy.

Trump is seeming to be every bit as bad I feared he'd be.

And that was very very bad indeed.

Again, if we were talking about them being a small mass with no influence you'd be right, but those people got Trump elected, so again, it would be nice not to have to deal with them, but their mass, was a big enough minority to push all republicans to get the Trump win.

As I said previously, I've talked to these fools on conservative forums and the reality is, they don't give a shit about facts. They listen to talk radio, read tabloid winger magazines, and watch FOX news round the clock. You're not going to suddenly convince them that their whole political outlook and philosophy is wrong. They weren't reasoned into their beliefs, and they won't be reasoned out of them.

You have to play their game and use emotional arguments like they were convinced by in the first place.
