Ahh the damage is done though, Trump wasnt a billionaire before but he may very well be one now. And other countries have gone far right to nationalistic preservation in rightful fear of Trump as president--I shudder to see a world full of extremist run nations.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

I wouldn't be that surprised if 2017 is the first year in a long time his business "empire" genuinely runs in the black. His Scottish and Irish golf clubs have never run a profit, and that is before you've factored in the money his tax evasion trusts have siphoned out of them.

I'm pretty sure the US tries to influence other countries' elections. As long as Russia didn't actually hack the voting system, but rather just released damaging emails that Hillary and her supporters actually wrote, I don't see the issue.

Obama overtly spoke against Brexit.

You fantasize about civil war? I'm generally not an alarmist, but if the presidency is taken from Trump, the violence that you guys currently imagine from Trump supporters could become reality, and then some.

Well the hacking is what they're being accused of, so.

Obama overtly spoke against Brexit.

They also waged a campaign to spread false information that many Trump supporters bought hook, line and sinker. That doesn't bother you?

Just imagine how much you'd be whining if they'd done all this for Hillary.

If we're going to be stuck with the electoral college system, we might as well use it how it was intended, which is to prevent people who are not qualified to be President, or who are under the influence of foreign powers (both arguably are somewhat true for Trump) from being elected President.

The article in the OP indicates that they've got a pretty comprehensive list of demands from both "the intelligence community" and the Trump campaign, with the latter being asked to prove that they had nothing to do with it. I don't have a problem with the release of this information. And if it does implicate the Trump campaign in any way, then I think it's the duty of our intelligence agencies to release that as soon as possible so that congress --and possibly federal law enforcement-- can act on it before we put an unqualified person in the White House. But this is a group of electors effectively demanding an investigation based on concerns they have from what they read in a few news sources. I think it's dangerous for electors to have the power to hijack an election that way when we already have agencies and laws in place that should allow those concerns to be dealt with. I'm imagining a scenario where Hillary wins the election and a group of electors demands that "the intelligence community release all of its findings on [scandal du'jour]" because they've been watching Fox News and reading Townhall.

Edit to add: I've been reading up on how the electors are selected, so my above concern is ameliorated somewhat. I may be more worried than is warranted over how they are selected in the future.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Have they? The system has failed, not the voters. By handing victory to the candidate losing the popular vote. I would be hard pressed to find another democracy where something like that could happen.
