Are you still grieving? You are not alone.

Someone running on the kind of ticket he ran on is as bad as I think. He catered to the most primitive instincts of possible voters. Fear, exclusion and resentment. That's also why I have my serious doubts on the nature of his voters because his bigotry and hatred was there for everyone to see.

I needed a lobotomy to still vote for someone like that. Every word he said in his campaign was something to barf over. If someone still voted for him, it's save to say, we have nothing in common. At least not as far as values are concerned.

Something I have mulled over since Trump first started running...is he really an adoration or is this exactly what happens when an empire starts to fold? This is a society built on slavery and its close cousin, crony capitalism. The republic outlined in the constitution was never meant to be a democracy, and never has been much of one. America has always been a society ruled by the elites with the sole purpose of serving their interests, and we now have an administration that fully demonstrates that fundamental truth. The very foundations of this society are unstable and untenable. There are not enough resources on the planet to maintain this level of consumerism and waste, and trying to appropriate them for the privileged few can only lead, ultimately, to a nuclear war.

It may well be, on the larger scale of human evolution on this little rock, that the fall of the US empire is not only inevitable, but necessary for the species to survive much longer. In that light, is the kamikaze corruption and head long rush over the cliff of the Trump administration really that surprising, or even that terrible?

The only real question is how each of us as individuals who were born into this society at this time, respond. Is there any way to overcome our history and actually build a just and progressive society out of what we have? Or should we sit back and let it fall?

The sun will keep coming up, the trees will grow their leaves back, the wind will keep blowing and the the world will keep spinning.

You have to remember you are in control of your life. Not an election, not other people but you. Doesn't matter who won or who's in control. You are still in control of your life.

I'm not saying believe this man, but just give him a chance.

I was sick the night Obama won, but accepted it, and decided to give him a chance. Half the country felt the same way you feel 8 years ago, betrayed and hurt. But look where we are!

The world is still spinning and the sun is still shining.

I would invite you to believe that Trump isn't as bad as you think he is, nore are his voters. As well I would invite you to believe that the reason you think he's so awful is because you buy into hysteria and bias in media. Anyway, that someone prefers Trump over Hillary doesn't necessitate that they think he's great; only that he's the lesser evil. Remember that when you think to judge.

Lol, yeah right.  All you have to do is read up on nut jobs he's filling his cabinet positions with to see that we're totally screwed.  Conspiracy theorists, mysogenists, and fucking climate change deniers (in charge of the EPA for fuck's sake).  Yeah, no, you're right.  It's gonna be totally fine.   Rolleyes

The world still spinning and the sun is still shinning...and do you really think that matters much to someone living in a war zone, a refugee, the victim of police violence being beaten or choked to death, or a young gay person struggling to find space in an openly hostile and hate filled world? We do our best to thrive in the world that unfolds around us, and the world that is unfolding at the moment has a racist, misogynistic, conspirator theory nut case moving into the most powerful position on earth.

What possible reason would there be to "give this person a chance?"

Yeah, with the unemployment rate down to just under 5%, and the total percentage of uninsured Americans down to 9% from about 15% when he took office, it's amazing we survived his rein of terror!   Huh

Reading fake news sites is bad for your health. It was the Drumpfucks that were doing the defacing of property, the intimidation, the threats of presidential assasination. The whole mythology of the "shy Trump" voter is a lie. He brought not one single person to the booths that the republicans hadn't already captured.

Quote:You can't silence people in the voting booths

Seems to me that when the candidate who lost the vote by 3m votes and counting, when the candidate whose party disenfranchised at least 7 million voters (and when you factor in the use of voter ID laws declared unconstitutional by the highest court in the land north of 10 million US citizens probably lost their right to vote), is declared the winner the people at the polling booths have been silenced.

Trump's swearing in will be as shabby and treasonous a day as when Franz von Papen crowned Hitler Reichkanzler back in 1933.

Trump has given me no reason to believe that he isn't the moronic cretin that I have known since I was a kid. The way Americans have been behaving and speaking to each other with a complete lack of respect just breaks my heart.

Lol, did Trump really just give away a multimillion dollar secret weapon to China via Twitter?
