Oh well, you spoke for yourself with your vote.

I should have voted for Jill Stein. At least everything would be green as we headed toward destruction.

But instead, you voted for the racist misogynist piece of shit.

Actions speak louder than words. I'd always thought of you as decent, but perhaps I was a bit off-mark.

I agree that Trump was a terrible candidate. Much more than Donald Trump was involved, such as supreme court nominees. I voted for the Republican party over the Democratic party.

You may have voted Repugnican, but you helped elect a Fascist. Congrats on that. Dodgy

This is not hyperbole. Look at the worlds response to trump. The vast majority is horrified at your election of a far right racist misogynist irrational idiot.

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

So, well, what conservative values does Trump represent? Is it his outspoken respect for women, the endorsment he got from the KKK or did David Duke's endorsment win you over? Maybe it's his love for Mexicans or muslims?

Please, do share, what made this to be your choice in the spirit of voting republican.

What do you have against the absurd? You voted for it, after all.

You can dress it up in partisan clothing all you want, but that only reinforces my point, which is that your values don't run so deep. After all, you could overlook his slime because he had -R after his name.

First of all I'm more toward moderate than conservative.  John Kasich was my candidate for the nomination.  These are some of my reasons for voting Republican:

I am pro-life.

I want federal judges who rule according to the constitution and do not make law.

I want fair taxation.

Regulations are necessary, but businesses are now overwhelmed with unnecessary regulations, which hampers the economy.

I want a reasonable approach to dealing with global warming that won't kill the economy.

I want to use the oil and coal resources the US has with proper environmental controls in place.

I want to have a reasonable balance between conscientious objection and providing equal services to all.  I don't want to see a bakery be forced out of business because they won't make a wedding cake.  We have always allowed conscientious objectors when it comes to military service.  Why not in cases such as this?

Immigration has always been an integral part of American society, but we need to enforce our immigration laws.

We need to better enforce all our laws for the protection of society.

Hearing this my whole life, every point above either has a long and detailed legal explanation of status quo as-is or a flat out "You're so far off the mark, you're not even wrong."

I don't feel like iterating every point above with a debunking of why those points are based on fictitious information, however I will single out climate change.

Politically, the position of the GOP is that climate change is not a real threat (or even real itself for a majority of GOP voters).

Therefore, there will be no gentle approach to climate change or any approach at all. We can safely discount your point there as disingenuous if you're informed or pants on head retarded if this is news to you.
