MTV news.

RE: MTV news.
I don't know about that. Most people go about their lives with little concern for such accusations and won't even see them. If they do, they'll probably roll their eyes and change the channel. Many more people will be affected by economic issues than will have to deal with issues of discrimination or harassment. For every grumpy old white guy who blabs about how 'blacks and gays are bringing the country down' there are many more families worried about jobs for themselves and future opportunities for their kids.

I think that Trump's comments about Mexicans and Muslims make for great news copy and keep the talking heads going for hours on end, but it was his promises to bring jobs back and make the USA competitive that were getting the attention of those families... and that should have been what those talking heads focused on. Could Trump really bring jobs back? How would he do so, and what would the effects be? How many people talked about his threat to raise tariffs more than 30%? Or were they too busy predicting how many women he would assault in the White House?
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
