I'm curious, 21st - how exactly does one distinguish between a pseudo-Christian and the genuine article?

PSEUDO-CHRISTIAN:  Anyone that erroneously professes to be a Christian, no matter what division of the primitive faith they’ve swallowed,

Subjectively, the foremost examples of a pseudo-christian within this forum, at this time, and that have been easily shut down relative to their primitive faith,

GENUINE ARTICLE:  This type of Christian is a rare breed for sure.. This is because if they actually followed ALL of their primitive bible, no matter which one 
of the approximate 325 DIFFERENT versions, they would do prison time! Imagine following some of the listed commands and acceptances by their primitive god
as shown below, which are only a few of many, and the ramifications thereof!  

Christians are to KILL non-believers. (Deuteronomy 13:7-12)
Christians are to stone to death women that are not virgins on their wedding night. (Deuteronomy 13:7-12)
Christians are to beat their children (Proverbs.23:13-14)
Christians can kill their kids that curse them, and Jesus condones this act by not saying it was wrong   (Matthew 15: 3-4)
Christians are to love their enemy, even Osama Bin Laden  (Matthew 5:44)


Just think of the inept mind set that still follows this primitive cult in the 21st century?

Minor correction, from a former JW: the parents of the child would not express the belief that she was in heaven with God. They would expect God to resurrect her after the world was remade as a paradise following Armageddon. The rest is, sadly, true. And sadder still considering that the Watchtower Society has changed their stance on the 'blood issue' to allow everything except the transfusion of whole blood. We get accused of cherry picking yet many athiests will pick an isolated scripture (knowing full well they haven't actually read themselves), that would have been explained had they read a little further.

The only law a Christian is under is Love.

You cannot enter Heaven without perfect love, for love covers a multitude of sin. (1 Peter 4:8)

Therefore if one is perfected in love, what law does he need? For the sole purpose of the law to condemn, there is no condemnation in love, and the only way to achieve perfect love is to receive the spirit of God (Holy spirit), which is only made possible through the shed blood of Christ.

Galatians 3:24-25

23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

What you and the OP are referring to is the old covenant, but did not God promise to make a new covenant?

Jeremiah 31:31-34

31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:

So while it is true that Jesus did not abolish the law, he made it possible to to be free from condemnation under the law. Those that refuse to accept grace are condemned under the law, and the only thing left for them is judgement.
