Who was "he" talking to?

RE: Who was "he" talking to?
God definitely does speak. He is surprisingly human. He said it to claim credit, because that's all he cares about. He's a power hungry tyrant. He couldn't bear the idea of anyone thinking it was a coincidence, or that someone else did it.

More evidence that God talks to people:

Well we know it can't have been a human he was talking to, if you've seen Kevin Smith's movie Dogma. LOL. Wish I could link to some clips but it's too soon yet.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

Who was he talking to while he was hanging on that fucking cross?

Quote:"Father, forgive them, for they don't know what they are doing."

The jesus freaks insist that he was talking to himself.

(a) Why would a god have to *say* anything?
(b) Who or what was around to hear and action the request?

He wasn't talking to anyone nor anything, He was commanding light to become a reality not just an image in his mind. He probably didn't say any words, it was probably a thought. It was written that way to give mere humans a way to understand. Not to understand his power because we can not, it was written that way so we could know God created light and that He created it for us and the rest of the universe. An omniscient mind needs no light to see all things.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

I so wish I could link the video from South Park where Cartman is being crucified as part of the children acting out the stations of the cross and he's shouting at Stan and Kyle that he's going to kick them in the nuts. I might actually respect Jesus just a little bit if those words came out of his mouth when he was getting nailed up there.

I think he meant they didn't know how to crucify people properly. He had to pretend to be dead for three days to make them all feel better.

"Father, forgive them etc." was what Jesus said on FRIDAY when He was crucified.

When He was crucified on Thursday, He said "Why hast thou forsaken me?"

It's important for us to respect the Biblical timeline.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

If I had been hanging in the void of nothingness for past eternity, you can bet I'd be talking to myself.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
