My wife and I care for a beautiful young lady, you could say we've adopted her and that means the problems she has also. When she was born, very premature, she weighed 3lbs. and very mentally challenged, at the age of 30 she she developed schizophrenia, can you even imagine what her 5 year old mind was going through. Then she was institutionalized 400 miles away from home and anyone she knew, now what do you think her mind was going through. Well I can tell you it was about as awful as things could get, we've been dealing with this for three years now and she is doing so much better. People who knew her before she came to us say, they can't believe she's the same girl they knew. So yes I know all about schizophrenia and the effect it has on people. Now you can take your diagnosis and stuff it where the sun doesn't shine. I'm completely sane and a fairly smart person and know and understand my experiences. In actuality I feel sorry for you because you've never experienced anything from the Creator of the universe.

Vorls, you're a technical person, let's brainstorm the mechanics/logistics of this.
God has every right to call it "his" one true religion.
But does that cover just earth, the whole known universe, and every other potential multierse/dimension.
Does he sublet time/space to other Gods who may have their own one true religion?
Or must they follow his rules under some sort of licensing contract?
The fact that you mentioned one true religion indicates that there could be false ones out there.
You know, if there really are thousands of gods out there, all with their one true religion, then maybe all the theists are correct!

How would I go about enabling this part of me (I suppose all humans are born with it, right?) to experience this communication with this god? Is it at all possible that some do not have it?

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

If the inner voice can not stand up to even just basic biblical scrutiny then no they are not accurate dispite what they say. How ever if you are given 'revelation' and after much scrutiny you can verify the message then the 'voice' can be trusted so long as it stays with in the biblical frame work.
So change your word 'biblical' (bolded in quotes) with 'Book of Mormon' both instances.
Now, bear with us here for a minute, pretend you're a Mormon, and tell me why the statement is now incorrect, and how I, as neither Mormon nor Bible Christian, can discern the salvational difference between your post with the word biblical from your post with the words Book of Mormon.
And then remember to 'turn off' Mormon mode when you're done, we don't you running around inadvertently fronting for Joe Smith. [shudder]
