That doesn't mean he's acting like a dictator. You have the right to hold those opinions but it's not going to change the fact that Trump is the president and that he acted within his right to fire the "acting" AG.
If people bring successful cases against the EO, and are awarded damages, who do you think ultimately pays for that? I find it incredible that any tax payer would be applauding the dismissal of someone for telling the pusa that their actions are potentially illegal. Or are you happy to pay for every one of trumps ill thought out ideas?

You had absolutely no problem criticizing Obama for his actions or inactions. Why this sudden respect for the office?

You should always look into the ramifications of any action taken or policy pursued by a politician, no matter their party affiliation ... unless you enjoy being used. Why a politician wants to do something is very important.

With all due respect, UK, why would you even care how I felt about it. The taxes wouldn't be coming out of your pockets.

Note to self: He still won't answer the question. Hmmm.

I don't mean to pick on just you personally, the same question could be asked of anyone cheering on the dismissal. I just don't understand why anyone would support a decision to fire someone for giving advice that a policy may be illegal, if the consequences of ignoring that advice are that a) any decisions made could be overturned thus rendering them pointless, and b) it could result in a bunch of money being paid out in damages.

This doesn't seem to me dependant on whether you support Trump or not, or whether you think the EO is a good idea in principle or not.

Heard a 'talking head' use this rationale for the firing:

there isn't anything in the constitution guarantying a 'right' to US citizenship to a citizen of another country

Damn, these short but sweet arguments highlight just how politicized most everything gets these day. So we've got another tempest in a teapot, and meanwhile advancing Dem interests in the 2018 congressional races is still languishing.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
