Trump's ban on Muslims
#31
RE: Trump's ban on Muslims
Hey...

This is so ball-bustingly stupid, I'm now wondering if Trump is secretly a member of ISIS. Talk about hiding in plain sight.

That doesn't even make sense.  People aren't going to be radicalized because they can't come in.  ISIS will use the ban as recruiting material to demonstrate their claims that the U.S. is attacking Islam.

Trump's so dumb that he may as well just be making propaganda for them.

I don't think worrying how ISIS is going to spin the news should be a factor in any decision.  We've been bombing their countries, toppling their leaders, and are best friends with Israel for decades.  The ship has sailed on ISIS not having any recruiting material.

Here's the thing though. Destroying what they call their state doesn't make them any less dangerous. It doesn't take a state to launch a terrorist attack.

I can't believe people still think in military terms when it comes to terror. A conventional army ain't worth shit when it comes to terror. And by the way, if they really want to smuggle someone into the states, they won't do it on passports or visas from any of the incriminated states.

I think 17 of the 19 9/11 terrorists came from the good friend Saudi Arabia. A country that's still totally exempt, but the cradle of the violent interpretation of Islam ISIL adhers to. Speaking of the most dangerous countries. Iran on the other hand is Shia. There hasn't been a single shiite attack on the West. On the contrary, they're fighting ISIL.
The US, Europe, Israel, and the Gulf States created the terrorist groups.  They funded them, gave them arms and supplies, and manpower.  They continue doing it at this vey minute.  And because they did all of that they are directly responsible for the millions of people who have been displaced and for all of the havoc in the area.

We are now fighting the monster that we created and continue to feed.   It gives everyone something to do.

It pays to remember that radicalization works both ways.  For every terrorist action that takes place here more people become radicalized against the muslims because of the way the issue is framed.  Years ago someone expressed the idea that we should simply nuke a lot of the large muslim cities in response to terrorist attacks.  At some point even the casual observer might start to think that's a good idea.

Our arsenal is massive and it includes all sorts of weapons, from nukes to gas to germs and drugs.  Remember the bath salts cases from a few years ago?  Imagine the effect something like that would have on city or nation with thousands or millions of people affected at the same time.

We have the best propaganda in the world but don't ever think that we aren't the meanest SOBs on the planet.  Our favorite pastime in WWII was burning people alive.

Sure, by all means, let's not worry about how our actions help them grow in numbers. Let's just play terrorist whack-a-mole for the rest of our lives. That's worked really well for us so far.

It's precisely that kind of reckless attitude that has gotten us into this mess in the first place.

RE: Trump's ban on Muslims
I don't mean to high jack the thread, point of view has not been stated yet. His ban on Muslims is a smoke screen. We have bigger problems that is being done behind the scenes of this administration. The internet is under attack again; and I'm scared that we don't have leaders to stop another attack. If we allow the censorship of the very tool we rely for our uncensored news; we won't be able to fight back. How many proxy's and VPN'S do we need to lose before we lose the right to express our self's without fear of repercussions. The reasons why this is crucial is, we need to preserve this tool in order to fight the ban on Muslims, if we allow his plans to remove content that does not favor him. The issues will get worse and it will be much more difficult to fight.

The people that are experienced in the way of getting around content restrictions will be the ones waging the war. There are so few of us though us though, I remember being a teen and using basic proxy's to bypass content bans in school and on my friends computer. I helped liberate people under a content ban from their parents and schools. But, back then what we did is considered child's play. The process of getting around the locks and blocks are more difficult in today's world.

His ban on Muslims is a racist law that if allowed will spread will open up more radical measures, cause no one is fighting him. The damage that can done will threaten the way our society operates. Now, I must admit I'm a bit selfish that I advocate for the internet over peoples rights. My entire life is centered around the internet, and I don't want my way of life threatened in anyway, shape, and or form. If enough people was to move on his ban of Muslims in a similar response to the S.O.P.A or P.I.P.A bills. We could in effect stop them from proceeding further and make anything he wants to do a futile effort.

How did you reach the point of view that we directly enjoyed burning people alive? I'm really curious about the sources of your information that led to that though.

RE: Trump's ban on Muslims
So is Trump actually clever and scheming, with this idiotic persona just being an act? Or is he a puppet?

I feel at this point he's got to be one or the other.

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Trump is no one's puppet. That should be obvious.

His character is very easily explained by psychology.

He is a child, he never grew up. He never had to deal with any repercussions that taught him how to properly behave with decorum.

He is spoiled to the point where he will always fight for his way.

The fact that he behaves like a child is what is most dangerous about him.

That sounds bang on.

So are others just exploiting his idiotic actions by hiding behind them, pulling shit in the background? Without him being at all clued in?

I have no earthly idea why the Electoral College went against the people and elected him.
