I really wish you'd address my question. I'm very curious about your answer.

I don't think anyone's saying you're lying - I for one believe you when you say your mother says these things.

I remember once telling her that even though it has happened a lot, that it still doesn't demonstrate the supernatural because who is to say that it isn't something else? I mean, I am somewhat skeptical to say that it is only a coincidence. I have seen it a lot. But, the cause could be something that we are not aware of, but not supernatural.

That's excellent, truly. The thing is, the cause might actually even be supernatural. But we have to rule out every more likely, mundane possibility first.

I know what you mean Mirek...

It's like my son when he recommends a movie for me to watch and the whole time he gets satisfaction by telling me before the good parts, "Oh! Watch what happens here!" Makes him excited to show off that he knows something I don't about the movie. Is that what your god is doing?
Does he tell your mom how to stop the death from happening, and if so, does he explain why he needs her to intervene?

I could simply answer that not having an explanation for things that people claim happen does not mean there is an afterlife or a god, but I don't want to stop there. I want to suppose it's all indeed divine intervention. Why? For kicks? I'm interested in knowing how this would influence you. He lets your mom in on a secret that cousin Louie died, but ignores the cries for help from the child being tortured in the back of a bus.

How do you embrace that?

That's an interesting question, and I agree with you. One thing though: I didn't actually associate this question with God. I kind of thought that maybe it was actually the spirit of the person telling my mother that he or she passed on. However, after more thought, I kind of think that there may be another explanation (assuming it was not a coincidence) that we do not know of.

Well, I would.

I'd be the dominant animal that ate everyone else.

I'm nice like that!
