Michael Flynn, national security adviser, resigns over Russia contacts

Fixed that for you.

Don't blame the media.  They didn't do this to Bush, Ronald, Clinton or Obama, because none of them spouted constant attention whoring garbage designed to attract/distract the media. I mean, constant, daily, sometimes more than daily.  It would be a feat for anyone to sort though the detritus he vomits forth to sift the significant from the insignificant.

It's amazing that you recognize the second bolded, and yet said the first.

Why wouldn't you blame the media for reporting on things which you admit are "designed to attract/distract the media"???

Personally, I find everything the megalomaniac does to be relevant to his competence, which is very much of consequence. How the fuck do you expect people to be educated about what a fucking shameless tool inhabits the white house if it's not reported?

The dems were caught sleeping when the Republicans won the mid-terms, and that's so fresh in the country's collective memory that I don't think it will happen in the reverse. Furthermore, the repubs have seen how huge of a win that was for them, that they'll likely be ready to defend the title. It'll likely be a hard fought, highly publicized mid-term, and dems need to be fired up.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

It does not appear that the WLB ever told the truth in his life.  Dear, WLB.  This is what happens when you piss off the press.  They start digging and you are fucked.

http://www.rawstory.com/2017/02/trump-cl...ie-report/

Quote:Trump claim of being ‘first in his class’ at Wharton was another lie: report

Quote:A program from the 1968 commencement ceremony shows no mention of Trump’s name, which Wharton graduate Jon Hillsberg said would be highly unlikely if the president had won academic honors.

The program does list, “20 Wharton award and prize recipients, 15 cum laude recipients, four magna cum laude recipients and two summa cum laude recipients for the Class of 1968. Trump’s name appears nowhere on those lists.”

Although I agree with CD that everything is relevant, even if you disagree, why would you blame the person being distracted, instead of the crook doing the distracting?

Again, if Trump didn't constantly spew garbage, then the media wouldn't be reporting on garbage.  Who's at fault, the garbage man, or the litterer?

Because it's not just a "person," it's professional journalists - it's their fucking job to focus on the right things. Well, it used to be. With changing economics, I suppose it's really their job now to generate clicks.

Politicians distract all the time. You don't complain about it when they're Dems.

There's garbage constantly spewed on this forum. I'm able to refrain from commenting on the vast majority of it. It's not difficult.

Yes there is some variability involved but yes also much agreement about what the right things to focus on should be. However that doesn't mean you ask a politician what things they think the press should focus on. Nor is the right thing "right" because it serves some political end. The essential function of a free press is to provide accountability. That is exactly why Trump is so angry with the press. He resents being held accountable and has resisted this his whole life.

Sure this 'garbage' bothers you because you probably voted for the maniac and your better nature makes you squirm when you see just what an abomination you have visited upon us all. I don't think you should ignore it. You should hold yourself accountable.

The press only provides accountability if they're credible with the people. Today's press isn't. You've probably seen the polls.

Regarding Trump - he won, despite the MSM being mostly against him. I think it's more likely that he's playing them, than that he's really angry with them.

Maybe you haven't seen the polls. Why would I squirm over reports from sources that I don't trust?

IMO the left is setting itself up for no gains, and possibly losses, in 2018. By constantly opposing every word out of Trump's mouth, they're giving him an excuse if he doesn't produce. His base will blame the lack of production on the opposition and be energized.

Really, if the left wants to win in 2018, they should let it be business as usual. That way, if Trump doesn't produce, he doesn't have an excuse.

Lol... Horsesh*t.

First of all - Trump is going to be making outlandish excuses whatever the opposition does. And his supporters are dumb enough to have voted him in, in the first place, so they'll buy whatever conspiracy bullsh*t he'll sling - just as they have been doing so far. That's been his strategy all along - to bet on dumb people, who instinctively distrust anyone using words more than 3 syllables long, who get all their news from his Twitter and right-wing propaganda mills, like Breitbart, and who never fact-check a thing. As long as he can keep enough of them them blindly sucking his d*ck - it doesn't matter what the other half of the country thinks of him.

Secondly - "business as usual" for the past 8 years has been the Republicans smearing the President and blocking him at every opportunity. So I suppose - yes, the left should "let it be business as usual" in that sense...

The left needs to do whatever they can to stop the orange f*ck-muppet from making disastrous decisions. Apathy among the opposition is precisely what Drumpf and the Republicans want, so that they can do whatever they want, while the world is distracted by the orange rape-monkey, throwing sh*t around...
