I can totally see that. I do love McCarthey. I just wish she'd go a little more multidimensional as an actress. I really enjoyed her in Spy and Identity Thief. I guess her character in Identity Thief was a little different, but there's always that underlying "I'm pathetic, but still pretty decent" theme in everything of hers I've seen. In Identity Thief it was, "I'm pathetic, but deep down I'm a decent person" where it's usually, "I'm pathetic, but deep down I'm pretty bad-ass", as it was in Ghostbusters.
Have you ever noticed all the drug commercials on TV lately? Why is it the side effects never include penile enlargement or super powers?

The only things I've seen her in are Ghostbusters: Feminist Edition and the recent SNL sketches, and she steals the show in both. In fact the main reason I watched those sketches was because of her. I'll have to check out her other stuff.

She definitely gives memorable performances. Normally I hate the roles where you're embarrassed for the actor/actress (think Superstar), but McCarthy pulls it off. Probably because you're not too embarrassed for her, she's just a little pathetic. Come to think of it, that's kind of how Moranis did it.

At least i give Moranis credit he didn't get pushed around too much but in Mccarthys case it's like it's funny but
damn show some back bone be like nah i don't this to happen to me. Because with the super bowl commercial
that sums up her roles in movies always getting hurt and stuff.

We rented the original and watched it one night, then saw the remake in the theater the next day. Remake was actually better.
