I have one criticism though, he's dressed up Bavarian (with an authentic beer+glass even), but his accent isn't.
My step-father taught me that you can get a friendly response in just about any culture by yelling in a friendly tone from a distance at a native in a gross parody of his language. It's just that with German it's hard to sound friendly. He spoke German, French, and English.
Congrats Aurora. Don't limit yourself to Germany. 27 free days in Europe could be an adventure. Also Prague is beautiful and just an hour or so away.

UPDATE:
Husband just got the second interview! It is scheduled for this Thursday. This is a good sign, that he got the tech interview! I have no idea how long we will have to wait after the interview to know if he got the job or not. He's very nervous. Although there are many great jobs he can still get if this doesn't go through, he really wants this job! Not just because of Germany and Bend, but because he really actually likes the job itself. It is, apparently, exactly what he wants to do, plus he really liked the owner when he met him.
I'm so nervous for him! I'm sure he'll do wonderfully, but he's getting himself a bit worked up. I'm glad there are a few days for him to calm down before the interview.

Update:
My husband got the job. We will be moving to Germany this summer!!
I'm so excited I don't know what to do with myself. It's such a great job, great pay, great benefits, and it's exactly what my husband wants to do with his degree.
Now we just need to figure out how to apartment shop from half a planet away.

You might work on learning to speak German.
They have this weird thing where they run all the words together and capitalize shit in strange places. And then they have these funny little marks that they stick in for shits and giggles.
