Our observations reveal that at least seven planets with sizes and masses similar to those of Earth revolve around TRAPPIST-1. This architecture suggests that the planets formed farther from the star and migrated inwards. Just when I start having negative thoughts about the future due to events on Earth, science comes up with something to cheer me up.
I love this kind of thing.
As an aside, I want to be the first to propose calling one of the planets "Kessel".
That way, one day, a human may make the Kessel run in less than twelve parsecs.

Apparently you could look up at the night sky of any of the planets and see several others, roughly as big as the full Moon.

So if we shine some sort of light communication up there, and if by some miracle intelligent life is up there and can reply back and they do, then my 1 year old daughter will be 81 by the time humans get any communication back.
