This is a cool thread.  Speaking of Bacon, this reminds me of Bacon's Rebellion of 1676. Now, IMO,  that was some bacon: it scorched Jamestown  in inferno, which satisfied the appetites of Nathaniel Bacon and his followers while upsetting the stomachs of Lord Berkeley and his government.
