Neck - barely. Lower back - excruciating. I'm plump, but don't have any cushioning in my lower back to protect the nerves. It fucking hurt.

Yesterday I was at the supermarket. The child who served me (18 years max) had a bracelet of words tattooed around her right wrist. Being a nosy old bugger, I said "Oh that's interesting ink,what is it?" She showed.me; it's in French,which she cannot pronounce and allegedly means "the whole package". She said it's a private joke. I agreed that it's very subtle.

Agreed.

I suffer from fairly horrible mental illness, and have since childhood. Both of my tattoos represent milestones in my life, related to my treatment and recovery. They serve as reminders when I'm symptomatic - that THIS is who I am. THIS is why I don't give up. I CAN be healthy, even if I don't feel that way right now or can't see the way.

I have totems too -- my blue gorilla glue stained pants is one of them. Sister says the look like someone loogied on them, but to me, that stain represents something far more meaningful.

Doesn't change the fact that there is a stain on my pants.
