RE: 22nd School Shooting this year
This was just sent to me:

'Listen to someone who has been in a classroom for 25 years. Listen to someone who the marginalized students have frequently found to be someone they could trust. Listen to someone who has always had an affinity for the Lost Souls. You have no understanding of the psyche of the school shooter if you think that if they didn't have access to guns they would just use something else. They are ENRAGED driven to INSANITY by their feelings of powerlessness, by their sense that no one see or cares about them. They decide for one day, by God, they will be NOTICED, RESPECTED, AND FEARED. They will walk the halls like a god. The power of the thunderbolt and lighting in their hands. The one they bumped in the hall, they skipped in the lunch line, they shook at the urinal so their piss dribbled on their pants, they humiliated to the point they were a social pariah. They're not just mad at a particular person. They're mad at a whole system that rewards the norm and demeans the outlier. When they come to school it is to flip the script. That's why the killing has to be personal, so they can feel the fear and terror they're bringing. Running people over in a car wouldn't be the same. Bombs, poison are impersonal. The fear, the terror has to be because of him not an impersonal thing like a poison or a bomb. The school shooter is not a political terrorist that can achieve their goals with a variety of weapons. The school shooter especially if he's small and/or physically weak is not going to envision any mass attack with a sword or knife because he could end up looking like the fool it his exact purpose to prove that he is not. The gun is without question the best answer to the insane needs of the school shooter. Gods don't struggle with lesser beings. They don't run them over with their chariots. Their ability to kill and destroy cannot be challenged. When it is their wish for you to die, you do. Now you can take someone who wants to be a godlike being at school, he finds the gun that best matches his purpose of creating fear and terror. He picks the one that LOOKS and is deadly. I don't have all the answers, but I do know that somethings swirling in the air are simply wrong! School shooters WOULD NOT SUBSTITUTE CARS, BOMBS, KNIVES, AND POISONS IF THEY COULD NOT GET GUNS. IF ALL THOSE OPTIONS WERE EQUAL IN THE MINDS OF THE SCHOOL SHOOTER...THEN...THEY...WOULD...HAVE...BEEN...USED...!!!!! Surely not every driven to INSANITY outlier child has had access to a gun AND GUESS WHAT? They didn't turn to another option because don't work for their purpose. It's freakin' logic!!!! Sure there have been instances where students have attacked other students with other weapons, but those have been aimed at specific individuals not mass terror assaults because only the gun serves that purpose. There's two things that protect schools from being the next victim. While every school has a ticking time bomb 99.99% never go off, so the odds are just in your favor. The other thing is access to guns. IF YOU CAN'T GET A GUN YOU CAN'T BE THE NEXT SCHOOL SHOOTER!!!!.'

It's a gun issue, folks. Kids in your country are being killed by other kids with guns. Get off the fucking pot and DO something about it.

Sweden Poorer than All but 12 US States

Yeah Sweden is so poor that it doesn't even have Tent Cities. Swedes are so poor that they don't have collapsing public school buildings, don't have school shootings, don't have poison in their drinking water, don't have higher mortality rate of newborns and actually have longer life expectancy.

AND they don't have the privilege of not being listed amongst the top ten happiest nations on earth. Must suck to live in Sweden.

Sweden doesn't have nearly as much diversity as the US. Certain things are more complicated here because we are a much larger nation with many more different types of people. What works for them isn't necessarily going to work for us.

"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

That sounds like you are saying the costs are too high.... I agree.   How is raising my taxes to take everything going to help that?

You understand that the tax raise would be to fund an alternate public health care system, in which most services would be free or little cost, Yeah? It would save the young healthy "I don't wanna pay for other people's health care " crowd an exorbitant amount of money and people would not have to worry about being bankrupt because they can't afford bills that KEEP THEM ALIVE. That's more important than the cost, I hope you see that. It's the most fucked up thing that people are okay with other people dying or losing every cent they have because of unaffordable medical costs when there are systems in place in so many countries that have successfully prevented that. Boggles my mind.

All people hear is "TAX RAISE" but for some reason "NO INSURANCE PREMIUMS" doesn't get the same amount of traction. You would save money. Without a doubt. I blame Reagan. His philosophy completely duped the middle class for the next fuckin century.

Am I going to keep my same health services for the same or similar costs. Because I have heard that before. I call shenanigans.

Free always seems to cost more!

A two tier system preserves private insurance. ACA was not two tier because the neoliberal hacks at the head of the Dem party didnt want to try universal health care. What they did was a more complex middle ground. In fact you could probably do away with a lot of the ACA regulations on the private sector because private insurance would need to compete with the free public system.

Ahh yes, the Republican party who only gives a shit about what they get, and not about anyone else. Pretend empathy over fetuses, but when it comes to actual fucking human beings? FUCK OFF is all they can say.
"Tradition" is just a word people use to make themselves feel better about being an asshole.
