It depens on what you refer with "we". If you're referring we as a species yes I am hopeful that we'll solve the "mistery" of the universe. But if you mean me and you and all people in this forum, I don't think so.

You think that questions that lead to the awareness of what we are ignorant of, is less important to us people of these forums than humanity as a whole? Why?

I don't see how we could ever know 100% for sure.

I think, funnily enough, the only way we could know is if the universe had been created by a intelligent life form and revealed itself to us...but even then how could we know to trust it?

Anyway, as thats not likely to ever happen I think we should carry on trying to best understand it as much as we can and reject anything, especially religion that claims it has all the answers.
